5418? Wow, that's pretty damn impressive. Not really important to update right
now, though. I plan on rolling out v5 eventually (so I say just wait for that;
save yourself the work), and the basic info is pretty much the same as the last
version anyway.

Hmm... 5418 people, but not one has ever e-mailed me with comments about the

Yeah, but look at what they where searching for.
My mainpage has gotten 3.1K something hits in the last two years. That
FAQ has gotten 5.4K in what, 7-8 months? See, I told you it was a good
idea, who knows, maybe it will draw people in. You might include a
general section describing how to get onto USENET; maybe it will bring in
some fresh me... er... new blood. ;)

Nothing wrong with OE, it's the people that use OE in an ignorant way
that are the problem.

If you are capable of reading german, then subscribe
de.soc.netzkultur.umgangsformen and look for the topic:
"wieder mal begin/end und der ruecksichtsvolle Umgang mit OE-Usern"
It has gone to a flamewar about Newsreaders and rfc-correct from-headers :-/
Oh man, just something you can find on de. hirachie....... :-(

No. The problem is that English is one of the stragest languages on the
planet: if you speak it natively, it's very difficult for most to pick up
other languages, and being closely related tends to make it more difficult
instead of easier, like it does with most other languages.

It's not that it's hard to learn, it's that it's not pleasurable to
listen too. Barring classical music, the only reall music imported to
america has been hate filled vitrol.

I happen to think that Japaneese music, like latin, *sounds* nice to
listen too.

That, and I'm not at all enamored with Germany right now.

Aww, common...
Not everything from germany is from Lanzer and the other shit.
Never heard of Wolfgang Petry or Reinhard May?
Get some on kazaa, listen, get the lyrics and translate them with babelfish.

Just because we said no to a war?
Some times we said "Never ever war again" (Nie wieder Krieg!)
And now we _wont_ say "Never ever war again without us" (Nie wieder
Krieg ohne uns!)
Schroeder was right with saying no to a war about oil and not the
freedom of iraq.

Problem is, it's still in german even if I know what's being sung. I can't
tell what's being sung in most ENGLISH music; I like instrumental, thanks.
To be fair, some of the best music ever written has been by Germans.

As for kazaa, I don't approve of file sharing; and yes, I know that makes
my a hypocrite considering all the images I have downloaded over the years.
But stealing is stealing; and no, I don't buy the robin hood schtick.

Outlook Express itself is broken. Malformed headers, bad quoting design,
breaking sig delimiters, and all kinds of other problems.

Some of them can be fixed by user patches (oe-quotefix, for one), but that's a
violation of the license agreement.
